Edwards Precision Engineering has worked with any number of materials for very many years. From simple mild steels to hardened tool steels, from plastics and non-ferrous alloys to sintered carbides and powder-met grades. We have experience with them all. We work closely with a select group of suppliers to ensure that all our raw material will facilitate our tooling with the levels of reliability, functionality, wear resistance and service life on which our reputation is built.

On numerous occasions we are required to develop a design in house. Unless specified, many of the material choices are selected by our skilled engineers.

We have recently invested in new 3D CAD CAM software, that will enable us to analyse different types of material applied to the design when placed under realistic stresses and strains.

This is a vital analysis tool when designing that will prove invaluable.
